Saturday the 21st June is World Giraffe Day, and we're raising our necks to celebrate these giants! At Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, we’re lucky to care for four incredible giraffes; Keto, Eller and Ronan. each with their own personality and important role to play in giraffe conservation.
Organised by the Giraffe Conservation Foundation, World Giraffe Day is a chance to shine a spotlight on the tallest land mammals on Earth—who are also in serious trouble. Giraffe numbers have dropped by nearly 30% in the last 30 years, and many people don’t even know they’re at risk.
Meet Our Towering Trio
At Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, we are proud to be home to three wonderful giraffes called Kito, Eller, and Ronan. While they are not part of a breeding group, they play an essential role as ambassadors for their wild counterparts.
Our giraffes help us educate the public about the importance of conservation and the challenges giraffes face in the wild. By visiting our zoo and meeting Keto, Eller and Ronan, you are also contributing to their protection. Each giraffe is a brilliant ambassador for their wild cousins, helping to inspire visitors to learn more and take action.
Did you know that Giraffes have unique patterns? Like our fingerprints, giraffe's spots are unique to themselves, and no two giraffes have the same distinctive pattern! Their coats can serve as camouflage in the savannah.
Giraffe and Rhino Experiences
To make your visit even more memorable, we offer special Giraffe and Rhino experiences that allow you to get up close and personal with these incredible animals. These experiences provide a unique opportunity to learn about their behaviours, diets, and the conservation efforts in place to protect them.
