Zoo Visits for Nurseries and Toddlers

Bring your nursery or preschool group to Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm for a day of animal discovery, outdoor adventure and play.

Set in 100 acres of beautiful Somerset countryside, Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm offers little learners the chance to discover amazing animals, explore indoor and outdoor play areas, and learn about the natural world.

With a self-guided visit, your group can explore at its own pace and enjoy a day out tailored to the needs and interests of your children.

What can little learners enjoy?

Discover amazing animals

A visit to Noah’s Ark is an opportunity for children to see a variety of animals and begin discovering more about the natural world. From our magnificent African elephants to our curious meerkats, there is plenty to see throughout the zoo.

Watching animals, noticing how they move and behave, and talking about what they can see are all simple ways to encourage curiosity and early learning.

Explore and play

Alongside the animals, our indoor and outdoor play areas give little ones the chance to let off steam and enjoy some active play during their visit.

With opportunities to explore, climb and play, children can enjoy a change of pace between discovering the animals and taking in the surroundings.

Learn through discovery

A zoo visit offers plenty of opportunities to support children's early development. From asking questions and learning new words to noticing differences between animals and their habitats, children can develop their understanding of the world around them.

Planning Your Nursery Visit

We understand that organising a trip with young children takes a little extra planning. Our Education Team is here to help make your visit as straightforward as possible.

Nursery and preschool staff are welcome to arrange a free familiarisation visit, giving you the opportunity to explore the zoo, get to know the site and plan your day before bringing your group.

Booking your visit

Please contact our team to discuss your visit, group requirements and the latest admission prices. We recommend arranging your visit in advance so that you have the information you need before your trip.

Getting around the zoo

There is plenty to explore across our 100-acre site, so we recommend allowing enough time for your group to enjoy the animals and play areas at a comfortable pace.

Food and drink

Remember to plan breaks throughout the day, giving little ones time to rest and recharge. Please check our main Plan Your Visit page for current information about food, drink and facilities.

Preparing for your visit

We recommend checking the weather forecast before travelling and bringing suitable clothing and footwear for exploring the zoo.
