Big Ears, Big Cheers: Noah’s Ark Celebrates Somerset Day with the Herd

9th May 2025

Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm is proudly waving the Somerset flag high this Somerset Day — celebrating the landscapes, communities, and values that make this county so special.

Nestled in over 100 acres of stunning Somerset countryside with sweeping views across Portishead and the Severn Estuary, we are a proud ambassador for the region. Visitors can hop aboard the accessible tractor trailer ride to explore the beautiful countryside and soak up the panoramic scenery that surrounds our award-winning family attraction.

Families can also navigate the UK’s longest hedge maze — a testament to our commitment to nature-based fun and creativity — and enjoy our on-site farm shop stocked with local treats, including produce from Moatwell Farm, Wraxall.

As the home of the UK and Northern Europe’s largest elephant habitat — and the only bachelor elephant facility in Europe — we are known for our pioneering animal welfare and conservation work. Our Somerset roots run deep through partnerships with local businesses, including participation in the South West VIP Scheme, which champions regional tourism and hospitality.

Recognised with a Visit England Gold Award in 2023 for accessibility and inclusivity, Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm is committed to ensuring a welcoming experience for all.

This Somerset Day, the elephants are trumpeting their pride — and so are we. Here’s to celebrating everything that makes Somerset truly remarkable.
