Accessibility
Our Animal Mini Experiences offer exclusive access to behind-the-scenes areas of our animal habitats. Each experience takes place in an active animal environment, so there are some important accessibility and safety considerations to be aware of before booking.
For the safety and wellbeing of both participants and animals, all guests must be able to independently understand and follow verbal instructions from our expert animal keepers, respond appropriately to changing situations and remain calm throughout the experience.
Please consider the following before booking:
Mobility: All experiences involve walking through animal areas and navigating some uneven ground. The Capybara and Giant Tortoise experiences involve uneven outdoor surfaces, including grass and sand. The Andean Bear experience also involves climbing and descending stairs and stepping over thresholds, so a reasonable level of mobility and physical fitness is required.
Environment: Experiences take place in working animal care areas, which may include relatively small indoor spaces. Participants should be comfortable being in close proximity to animals.
Additional considerations: The Andean Bear experience includes time on an elevated viewing balcony overlooking the habitat, so it may not be suitable for those with a fear of heights.
If you have any questions about accessibility or the suitability of an experience for yourself or someone in your group, please contact our friendly team before booking. They will be happy to discuss the individual experience and help you make an informed decision.
