Are you aged 11-18? Are you home educated? We'd love to hear from you! 

On Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th February 2026, we are launching our brand new, COMPLETELY FREE education programme Nature For All. 

Join us!

Spend a day with us exploring conservation, wildlife, and animal care!

Get up close and personal with one of our encounters, create enrichment activities and learn about animal husbandry. You'll have a choice of workshops and talks, as well as a tour of the zoo.

The day will run from 10.00am to 2.30pm. You'll need to be accompanied by an adult but they will also come in free of charge. We'll even provide you with lunch! (Please note: lunches are provided for children only - adults are welcome to bring their own.)

Frequently Asked Questions

Anyone who is currently being home educated aged 11- 18.

Places for 11-18 year old participants are free. Each participant must be accompanied by an adult who will also get free admission. Any additional adults can be booked at the discounted educational rate of £9.35

Workshop places are for 11-18 year olds only. If you wish to bring a younger child, they are welcome to visit the zoo at the discounted educational rate of £9.35 but will not be able to participate in the workshop programme.

All children aged 16 or younger must be accompanied onto site by an adult. During the workshop sessions, adults may leave their child but remain within the zoo grounds.

Yes, all workshops have been designed to be wheelchair friendly and accessible. If your child has any additional requirements, please let us know on the booking form so that we can help facilitate the needs of all learners.

We are offering a free lunch for the programme participants. Please let us know of any dietary requirements when booking your place. Younger siblings and accompanying adults do not qualify for a free lunch but can enjoy 10% off food and drinks in the café.
