I am a native rare breed

Horses are renowned for their strength and agility. They were one of the first animals to be domesticated by humans; it is believed that the domestication of horses was widespread by 3000BC. Since then, humans have utilised the horse’s strength and speed to help with farming and transportation. 

Suffolk Punch Horses are the oldest breed of British working horses They are distinctive with their shining Chesnut coat and solid build.

These fantastic horses helped to shape the rural landscape and were vital to Britain's farming history. Historically, the Suffolk Punch horse pulled the plough, cut the corn and carried the wheat to the mill to feed the public.

Suffolk Punch horses are known for being very sturdy working horse; the average height for a stallion is 17 hands high (173cm).
