Our Trustees

Chris loves the open space that Noah’s Ark Zoo enjoys, and the sense of peace and calm that such space gives to visitors and residents alike. Before becoming a Trustee for the Zoo, he established a charitable company in Hexham Northumberland – the Hextol Foundation – with a set of small business which provide a range of work opportunities for people with a learning disability or with poor mental health. With that background, Chris is keen to see the Zoo as a leader in promoting inclusion and the wellness of all – for our visitors and the Zoo’s staff team as well as for our fantastic animal collection.

Nicola is proud to be a Trustee at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, bringing her energy and experience from years of working in the charity world. She’s passionate about causes that make a real difference and loves how the Zoo combines conservation, education, and community in such a unique way. Nicola cares deeply about inclusion, sustainability, and creating spaces where everyone feels welcome—animals and people alike! As a Trustee, she’s here to support the brilliant team, help shape the future of the Zoo, and make sure it stays a place of inspiration, learning, and fun for generations to come.

Guy is a Chartered Construction Manager who lives in Somerset and who first enjoyed the Zoo with his young family as Season Ticket holders shortly after it opened in the early 2000s. He has been a trustee of several charities and loves being involved with projects that can develop people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, as well as wanting to support the charity for the long term. His favourite things at the Zoo are the view over the site as you arrive, the lions, the native wildlife, the Play Barn and, of course, the amazing catering on site!
