How we're going to do it
The goals and objectives in this plan will come to life through a wide range of activities, initiatives and projects over the next five years and beyond! A major development during this time will be Project Carnivora; a phased project to create immersive new carnivore habitats that will transform the visitor experience and support our commitment to outstanding animal care, conservation, accessibility for visitors and education.
Our success will depend on people working together. It is through the expertise, passion, creativity and commitment of our team and partners that we will turn our ambitions into real and lasting impact.
Our staff, volunteers and trustees all have an important role to play in shaping the future of Noah’s Ark and helping us move forward with confidence. We will also continue to build strong, meaningful partnerships with external organisations, supporters, visitors and members working together to achieve the best possible outcomes for wildlife, people and the planet.
This Strategic Plan is more than a standalone document. It is supported by a series of important plans and strategies that will help our people turn ambition into action, guide decision-making and ensure we continue to grow with care, purpose and long-term impact.
These include our:
- Conservation Strategy — guiding how we protect wildlife and support conservation, both at Noah’s Ark and around the world.
- Animal Collection Plan — helping us provide outstanding care for the animals who call Noah’s Ark home, while supporting education, conservation and meaningful visitor experiences.
- Site Masterplan — shaping how our site will develop over time, creating welcoming spaces for visitors, excellent habitats for animals and a sustainable future for the zoo.
- Five-year Business and Financial Plans — ensuring our charity, Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, and our supporting catering and retail business, Noah’s Ark Zoo Enterprises, have the resilience and resources needed to deliver our vision.
Together, these plans provide the foundations for our next chapter; helping our staff, volunteers, trustees and partners work confidently towards a shared future for wildlife, people and the planet.
