Catering Assistant

We are on the lookout for a fun, friendly individual to join our team as a Catering Assistant, this will be on a fixed-term contract of seven months.

What you could be doing:

· Providing a warm welcome and friendly efficient service to all our visitors.

· Taking visitors orders, operating the tills. and taking payments,

· Serving hot and cold food and drinks to our visitors.

· Taking and making up ice-cream orders.

· Supporting the Senior Management to respond to customer demand and flows across the site.

· Making a multitude of hot drinks in the food barn, catering kiosks and farm shop. (training provided)

· Running food, doing pot-wash.

· Tidy and clean tables in customer areas in the food barn and all other catering out-lets and kiosks.

· Food Hygiene and Allergen compliance at all times.

· Happy to work within the zoo's gift shop and farm shop as required (both form part of the Catering & Retail team).

 

The successful candidate will be:

· Friendly, enthusiastic and reliable.

· Positive, with a can-do attitude with a desire to greet and engage with our visitors.

· Confident in working under pressure.

· Interested in good, healthy and delicious food and drink.

· Must be able to get to this rural location.

 

Working pattern:

Working every Saturday, plus additional days within our busier periods, i.e., school holidays, especially the Summer from August – September.

Working hours will be 10.30am – 5pm.

Salary: £10.00 per hour (18–20-year-olds) £12.21 per hour (21 years +)
