Halloween at the zoo

20th Oct 2018

The kids are on holiday, the sun is out and Halloween is just around the corner. What better way to enjoy the October half term holidays than with a day at the zoo. We've got plenty to entertain the whole family.

Pumpkins Galore

This year Pumpkin Fest is back and bigger and better than ever. The zoo will be decorated with an Autumnal theme and Pumpkins everywhere! Visitors can join in with Pumpkin carving for just £2. Chose your own Pumpkin and get stuck in. Don't forget to take it home afterwards. How good are your Pumpkin Bowling skills? We've set up a special bowling alley this year for kids and grown ups to battle it out and see how many skittles you can knock down with your Pumpkin. If you're not sick of Pumpkins yet why not check out our cafe and see what tasty autumnal treats they've got in store.

Deadly Snakes

It's not just Pumpkin Fest going on at the zoo. This year Pete Blake is back with his Venomous Snake Shows. Twice a day Pete will be in the Ark Arena introducing you all to some of the world's most deadly snakes. From the Black Mamba to the King Cobra Pete's not afraid to get up close with these slithery creatures. Ever wondered what sound a Rattlesnake makes or which snake is the most dealy? You can find out this and more in one of Pete's shows until 3rd November.

With 15 indoor and outdoor play areas we've got plenty to keep the children entertained no matter the weather. Don't forget we also have our usual animal keeper talks every half an hour where you can learn all about the different species of animal at the zoo.
