Reptile Awareness Week

From the 22nd to 28th July we will be celebrating Reptile Awareness Week with special appearances from Nigel Marven and Pete Blake.

Make sure you head over to Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm to meet ‘Ten Deadliest Snakes’ star Nigel Marven who will be opening our new Tortoise House on Saturday 22nd July. Nigel presented some of the Walking with Dinosaurs episodes and Prehistoric Park on ITV and has kindly donated his Aldabra Giant Tortoises, XJ, Esmeralda, Hogarth, Terrence, Blue, Hissy and Stevie.

This year Pete Blake will be returning to present his UK exclusive Venomous Snake Shows! Watch in awe as Pete shows off some of the worlds deadliest snakes including: multiple species of Cobra, Green Mamba, Taipan, Rattlesnake, Puff Adder and a Saw Scale Viper. The shows will be held at 12.30pm and 2.30pm each day in the Ark Arena.

Come along to our special education sessions between Monday 24th and Friday 28th July. Meet and learn about our classroom reptiles - Ralph the Royal Python, Bertie and Basil the Bearded dragons, Butters the Yellow Corn Snake, Loti & Lulu the baby Leopard Tortoises and Yoshi the Leopard Gecko. These session will be held daily on a walk in basis at 1.30pm and 3.30pm.

This year we have teamed up with the Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust, who work both in the UK and oversees to protect our native species and their habitats. Every day enjoy our free educational keeper talks and get involved in our exciting fundraising activities such as reptile face painting, hoopla, hook a frog, pin the fly on the chameleon and much more…
