The LONGEST hedge maze in the WORLD!
The longest hedge maze in the World is here in Wraxall at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm. Planted in 2003 the hedge maze is 3.2 km long, 300 m more than Longleat and 53 m more than the Peacemaze in Northern Ireland. 14,000 beech trees were planted in the maze, laid out in the shape of Noah’s Ark and 7 monster animals. It is laid out mainly in green beech (to feed the camels and giraffes on the cuttings), with the animal outlines in copper beech.
The educational monster maze is laid out in 15 sections; each path has a letter. Each section has a question, the correct answer leading you to the shortest route towards the next clue. Collect the 15 correct path letters which are an anagram of a creature. To help you out, the clue for the creature is: “Birds that feed their young on milk from their crops”.
FIVE floors, 1000 ft of tunnels, the 3D Beehive Maze
The Bee-hive maze may also be the biggest of its type in the world. It is built on 5 floors and has over 1000 ft (320 m) of passageways.
Noah's Ark is a spectacular hands-on zoo with huge indoor adventure playgrounds and the world's longest hedge maze, all on a genuine working farm!
