Noah's Ark 'Schools Programme' recognised with top national Education award

Learning at Noahs ArkNoah's Ark Zoo Farm has been awarded the Quality Badge from the national 'Learning Outside the Classroom’ scheme, a benchmark recognised by schools and colleges as a indicator of quality teaching available for educational school trips.

In keeping with this Quality Badge status, Noah's Ark offers a comprehensive Schools Programme of National Curriculum based workshops and learning resources, catering from KS1 to A Level.

We are now one of only a handful of zoos with the Quality Badge.

Noahs Ark  Farm Zoo WorkshopsEducational field trips are a great way to learn, and a day out at Noah's Ark Zoo Farm, Bristol, can provide lots for all ages and learning abilities. Children can learn from experiencing and exploring the countryside and animals in a safe environment with the facilities and amenities a class trip requires.

A school trip to Noah's Ark Zoo Farm, Bristol, can encourage and consolidate learning in many areas of the National Curriculum.


 Children benefit hugely in their learning and understanding of knowledge and skills through a range of environmental contexts that are of interest to them.

What's on offer for your school trip...

free animal shows

Free educational Animal Show in indoor arena, featuring live animals and a chance to bottle-feed lambs.

Selection of KS1 and KS2 workshops designed in conjunction with National Curriculum guidance in the indoor classroom. Workshops can be tailored to individual requirements.

Keeper talks including a Big Cat feeding talk and impressive Birds of Prey flying display.

Fun, bumpy, educational tractor rides at £2 per adult and £1 per child.

Hands-on approach to the animals. Children can hold chicks, ducklings and rabbits. Or why not buy some animal food from the shop and feed our animals?

Noah's Ark Zoo is a genuine working farm set in acres of crop fields.

School outreach in the South West

Noahs Ark Zoo outreach

Noah's Ark Zoo Farm also offers an outreach programme called 'zoos in schools' where we will bring a selection of smaller zoo animals into schools to lead assemblies or half/full day workshops. To discuss this service further or tailor it to your needs please contact the Education Team.

Guided tours and zoo trails are also available subject to demand.
