Primates and Reptiles
Come and meet fascinating primates and reptiles with the Primates & Reptile Keeper Experience!
You'll be able to meet Siamang Gibbons and Lemurs and get friendly with incredible Snakes and Lizards amongst other amazing animals.
Our Keeper Experiences were judged as a finalist for 'Tourism Activity of the Year' at the Bristol Tourism and Hospitality Industry Awards 2011 and were 'Highly Commended' in the South West Tourism Award 2012.
What will I get to do?
- Get close and hand-feed the lemurs.
- Enrichment activities with the Siamang Gibbons, including a chance to feed them.
- Help the Zoo Keeper with the daily cleaning and maintenance of the enclosures.
- Meet, handle and weigh a variety of reptiles including the Royal Python and Bearded Dragon.
When is it available?
Be a keeper for a day from Tuesday- Saturday throughout the year.
The experience is from 8am - 10am.
Each experience is one to one with a Zoo Keeper and includes full admission into the zoo for one participant and one guest for the day.
Who is it for?
Adults and children over the age of 10.
Cost
1 participant: £100 (this also includes the cost of one guest to watch the experience and admission into the zoo).

The Keeper Experience involves close contact and active work with a variety of large and potentially dangerous animals. Participants must listen and obey the instructions given by our Keepers at all times, this is to ensure your safety and the safety of the animals. Failure to follow the instructions of our Keepers may result in the curtailment or alteration of your experience without a refund.
