Internship on the Elephant Section at Noah's Ark Zoo Farm

12 month Internship with the Elephant Team.

These positions are aimed at providing opportunities to learn valuable skills and gain real experience of elephant keeping. Interns will be working as part of a dedicated team of keepers taking an active role in day to day care, enrichment and animal training as well as other duties. For this position we seek to take on dedicated people who have taken steps towards a career in animal management already. Candidates must also have some experience working with large mammals.

Pay is £132 per week. A normal working week will be 5 days 8am to 5pm most weekends and Bank Holidays included. Applicants should be over 18, have a full driving licence, be motivated and hardworking.

These positions are aimed at providing opportunities to learn valuable skills and gain real experience of professional animal keeping. Interns will be working as part of a dedicated team of keepers taking an active role in day to day care, enrichment and animal training as well as other duties. For this position we seek to take on dedicated people who have taken steps towards a career in animal management already.

Ticket Office & cafe seasonal jobs

Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm is looking for reliable, enthusiastic, friendly and polite people to join the busy Front of House Team at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm.

The positions are part-time on a seasonal contract, and would include Saturdays and Bank Holidays. We are recruiting for a variety of Front of House roles, including in the Ticket Office and Café.

The roles can be busy at times, especially in the summer period, so we are looking for someone who can stay calm and handle the pressure of long queues in a lively and busy environment. Applicants must be team players, have excellent customer service skills and also able to work independently.
Whilst working in the ticket office you would be welcoming visitors, selling tickets, taking payment using the EPOS till system, being responsible for your own till which includes setting up and cashing up the till and using a chip and pin machine. This role also includes dealing with enquiries and complaints and cash handling.
Applicants for café work must have a passion for welcoming the public and offering great, fresh food. Previous experience in catering is preferable.

Competitive rates of pay with weekday, weekend and Bank Holiday shifts depending on the role applied for.

Events Volunteers

Would you love to help out our events team here at the zoo? We need outgoing, sociable and fun-loving people to get stuck in over the Christmas Season and beyond. You must be comfortable working outdoors, interacting with the public, and working Saturdays.

This is an excellent opportunity for people looking to gain experience in the events or tourism industries. You must be over 18 years of age to apply for this volunteering position, as it may require working off-site.
