Marketing & Events Coordinator

Full-time, 40 hours per week with occasional weekend, bank holiday and out-of-hours work (time off in lieu given). Salary £22,000-£24,000 depending on experience. Closing date 6th March.

A full time senior position at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm™ overseeing the significant marketing output for the zoo. Responsible for targeting existing and new markets; increasing brand awareness and coordinating exciting and educational events. Working within a small, dynamic team in close association with other departments. Experience working in tourism or in a similar marketing role would be beneficial.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Allocate annual marketing and events budget.
  • Plan, coordinate and implement annual, daily, educational and outreach events (working with existing events calendar).
  • Work with our graphic designer to develop marketing materials.
  • Generate new business through print offers and advertising opportunities.
  • Event staff coordination and event volunteer management and training.
  • Assist other teams where needed, including events planning/implementation.
  • Plan and book marketing campaigns and adverts.
  • Assist with general admin tasks in the office when necessary.
  • Work closely with Communications Manager and Digital Marketing Executive to deliver top quality marketing
  • Represent Noah’s Ark Zoo at industry events and conferences.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or have equivalent experience.
  • Experience of coordinating and delivering large scale events.
  • Some experience of working to a budget.
  • Experience of delivering marketing for a large business or tourist attraction.
  • Excellent copywriting abilities, with the ability to adapt writing styles to different audiences.
  • Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Able to work within a team and communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.
  • Good customer service skills and experience of presenting to large groups.
  • The successful candidate must be happy to work within the Christian ethos of the zoo.

Digital Marketing Executive


We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Marketing Executive to join our Marketing team at Noah’s Ark Zoo. The main responsibility of this role is to maintain and update our online presence as well as implementing new digital marketing/advertising opportunities.

Outline of the role:

  • Videography and photography; collecting and editing photos and footage for online content.
  • Manage our social media platforms; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Vimeo, Google+, TripAdvisor and YouTube. Regularly updating with new content, as well as interacting with social media users and improving our reach to potential visitors.
  • Generate and update external website listings and event listings.
  • Create monthly e-newsletter and regular blogs.
  • Work with our marketing agency to oversee SEO performance.
  • Oversee website PPC.
  • Contribute towards maintaining and updating our new CMS website with new content and amends.
  • Conduct online market research.
  • Generate new business through online offers and digital advertising opportunities.
  • Assisting other teams where needed, including events planning/implementation.
  • Assisting with general admin tasks in the office when necessary.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or have equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of photo and video, including camera equipment (DSLR cameras) and editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro).
  • Experience managing multiple social media platforms.
  • Excellent copywriting abilities, with the ability to adapt writing styles to different audiences.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Able to work within a team and communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.

Events Volunteers

Would you love to help out our events team here at the zoo? We need outgoing, sociable and fun-loving people to get stuck in over the Christmas Season and beyond. You must be comfortable working outdoors, interacting with the public, and working Saturdays.

This is an excellent opportunity for people looking to gain experience in the events or tourism industries. You must be over 18 years of age to apply for this volunteering position, as it may require working off-site.

Kitchen Staff - Front of House Catering - Weekend Staff

We're looking for staff to work in our front of house team, particularly on Saturdays. We are also looking for kitchen staff. Come and join our fun and passionate team here at Noah's Ark Zoo Farm.

You must have a passion for welcoming the public and offering great, fresh food.

Previous experience in catering is preferable. You must be a people person and have a passion for providing great service, great food and great coffee! A desire and a drive to progress in the job role is essential.

Buildings and Maintenance Team Member


Full time, 40 hours per week including some Saturdays and Bank Holidays.
Rate of pay: £8 per hour

An attractive position has opened within the successful, multi-award winning tourist attraction, Noah's Ark Zoo Farm. We are looking for a Buildings and Maintenance Team Member to join our team.

The working week will be 40 hours within 5 days with flexible working hours and will include some Saturday and Bank Holiday work. The rate of pay is £8 per hour.

We are looking for someone who is hard working, reliable and a good team player but who can also work well on individual tasks. Some experience of building and maintenance is desirable but no specific trade experience is required.

The work involved is general building work and maintenance in the zoo. At times, the work can be physically demanding so we are looking for someone with a good level of health and fitness. The applicant needs to be over 18 and a clean full driving license is desirable but not essential. Noah's Ark is a Christian based company and applicants are expected to be accommodating of the ethos.
