Santa's Library SENF FAQs

Sessions held in November and early December are usually quieter.

For a calmer experience, we recommend booking either the first or last session of the day:

  • For the first session, please arrive approximately 10 minutes early.
  • For the last session, please arrive towards the end of the session, at approximately 3.40–3.45pm.

Please let our team know that you would prefer a quieter experience and we will be happy to accommodate you wherever possible.

We have a small selection of accessible and SEND-friendly books, including:

  • Books featuring symbols
  • Books incorporating sign language
  • Easy-read books
  • Books accompanied by an audiobook

Please talk to us about the needs and preferences of the child or adult visiting, and we will do our best to provide a suitable book. Our selection is limited, so we recommend contacting us in advance wherever possible.

Yes. Santa’s Library is accessible to wheelchair users.

Yes, Christmas music will usually be playing inside Santa’s Library. If you would prefer the music to be turned off during your session, please let our team know when you arrive and we will be happy to do this.

We understand that everyone’s needs are different. If there is anything we can do to help make the experience more comfortable or enjoyable, please speak to us before your visit. We may contact you to discuss any adjustments and will do our best to accommodate individual needs.

Yes. Once Santa’s Library has been fully set up, we will create a Social Story showing what visitors can expect. This will be available on our website before the experience begins.

Please don’t worry, our team understands that someone may feel differently when they arrive and will adapt the experience to suit their needs. We will never pressure anyone to meet Santa.

Depending on what the person feels comfortable with, we could give them some extra time before trying again, arrange for Santa to meet them in an outdoor space, or ask one of Santa’s helpers to bring their gift to them away from Santa.

Of course. If you have any questions or would like to discuss how we can support someone in your group, please contact us:

Our team will be happy to help and will do its best to make your visit as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
