Over the 310 acres here at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm we have a couple of streams that are running throughout our woodland. The stream provides a different habitat to the pond since the water is continually moving, oxygenating the water. Organisms that are adapted to well oxygenated water live in these streams. Since the water is flowing many of the organisms that live in streams often have adaptions to anchoring themselves to rocks or the bottom of the pond.
